Becoming a TEDx speaker is a chance to inspire, motivate, and open public mind through innovative and humanistic projects.
The TEDxFortdeFrance « Ultra-Nomad Islandic », will be held on Saturday 06 June 2020.
This subject will be developped around the following lines:

- Science & Design
- Entrepreneurship development
- Social progress
What is being Ultra-Nomadic?
In our modern context, exchanges and their richness are facilitated by new technologies as well as more efficient and cheaper transport, implicitly bringing speed and responsiveness to a world in perpetual motion.
At an individual level, ultra-nomadism encourages to step out, surpass oneself and meet with each other.
As for insularity, it offers that same openness while keeping a geographical and historical landmark at the same time.
So, how does insularity draw its strength in ultra-nomadism?
Around this main topic, « Ultra-Nomad Island », we established a list of sub-themes from which you can choose to base your talk on. These are propositions that you are welcome to enrich with your vision!
- Connection through new technologies makes us ultra-nomadic and brings new opportunities
- Insularity as a potential development of new ideas permeable to external influences
- The importance of mobility for exchanges and the implementation of new ideas.
- Ecology and renewable energies to guarantee tomorrow’s movement
- The island as a physical meeting point to exchange from different horizons, in an geographical and insular point conducive to innovation and reflection
- Cultural diversity as a richness to fight against prejudice, exacerbated by the possibility of mobility and testimony
- Science improvement through human interactions
- Entrepreneurial development through the abolition of borders (mental, geographic, social)
- Nomadism in the creation process: through an upsurge, a detachment from the idea to induce an artistic production
- When creation, from multiple inspirations, has an influence on the social space.
- Inspirational travel: How global economy is positively influenced by personal well-being drawn from the inspirational travel
- The possibility of movement as a factor of freedom for the individual
Submission process
Please send an email to contact@tedxfortdefrance.com including a short speech of your subject, inspired by the topic « Ultra-nomadic Island» (half page, Arial font), and your biography before Friday 28 February 2020 .
If your proposal is accepted, you will be invited to a selection meeting.
You are also welcome to introduce your subject in a 3 minutes speech at the TEDxFortdeFrance Afterworks taking place every month at The Cloud. Next event will be on Tuesday 10 March 2020.
For potential speakers who would not be able to attend those meetings, do not worry ! We will be in Paris at the end of january and we can also set up videoconferences to have the pleasure to meet you ; everything is possible!
Coaching
Preparing a TEDx requires a real consistency and an inoxerable commitment from the selected speakers. Therefore, a preparation conducted by our coaches and various team meetings will be organized several months before to the TEDxFortdeFrance. The goal of this coaching is to harmonize the Talks and sequence them regarding the different topics. A successful TEDx is before everything an effective teamwork.
We will count on you to get involved in this adventure until the awaited moment!
